Greg Davies is to host a new BBC One show called 'The Great British Dig'. The six-part series will see Davies travel around the UK, visiting archaeological digs and meeting the experts who are working on them.
In each episode, Davies will explore a different aspect of British history, from the Stone Age to the Victorian era. He will meet archaeologists who are excavating everything from Roman villas to medieval castles.
Davies said: "I'm really excited to be hosting 'The Great British Dig'. I've always been fascinated by history, and I can't wait to learn more about the incredible work that archaeologists are doing all over the UK.
"The show will be a great way to bring history to life for viewers, and I hope it will inspire people to learn more about our past."
The Great British Dig' will air on BBC One later this year.
